The City's Park and its facilities are  closed until further notice.   There are two reasons for this:

1. The City cannot comply with the current needs for disinfectants, cleaning, etc. to fully reopen all of the facilities. We're bringing that up to speed as fast as possible.

2. The City has a contractor who is scheduled to begin next week to reconstruct the damaged park structure. We want to expedite the rebuild and give the contractor room to work without interference.

So, we're keeping the park closed until they complete the project - no later than 30 June. Once the reconstruction is complete, we'll open the Park into whatever Phase of reopening the County is currently within.

We ask that you honor the closure and not use the park, please.

Amity residents' park and recreation needs are served predominately by the School District that provides a diverse array of recreation opportunities. These include several ball fields, play equipment, tract, football/soccer fields, and outdoor basketball courts. In addition, the City operates and maintains a 6.25 acre park on the west side of the city. City park hours are from dawn to dusk.

City Park Amenities Include:

  • Covered Picnic Shelter w/ Electricity

  • Playground

  • Baseball Field

  • Skate Park

  • Basketball Court

  • Walking Nature Path

  • Concrete Walkways

  • Drinking Fountain

  • Restroom Facilities

  • Picnic Benches

Many of the amenities were recently added as a part of a $200,000 park rehab project completed during the summer of 2017. This project was primarily funded through an Oregon Parks and Recreation grant.

In March of 2017, the Amity-Dayton cohort of the Ford Family Leadership Foundation completed the installation project of a park kiosk, containing panels that feature historical information, a downtown map, and a regional bike map.
