The City of Amity is working to install sidewalks, ADA crossings, and a storm water swale along the north side of Rice Lane, in front of the Amity Elementary School. This project is primarily funded by a Small Cities Allotment (SCA) grant provided by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). Upon project completion the City of Amity will receive reimbursement for up to $250,000 of the engineering and construction costs associated with the project. This will be a major improvement for the walkability of the area in front of the elementary school.
